Farmer’s market on July 19

The farmer’s market last week was nice as usual. I bought two nice bags of greens and two kinds of kale including Tuscan kale. Baby green stem garlic is in season and this kind of garlic chops easily and is a fabulous and healthy addition to many kinds of fried vegetable dishes. I took some photos and a sampling appears next.

The greens and yellows in this picture are pretty to me.

I believe many of these are Shiitake mushrooms. Anyway this is really colorful.

Flowers were prettier than I have seen them in a while and this picture does not do them justice.
