Blog Qualifications
by George Schils.
A number of qualifications, clarifications, and other notes apply to
blogs on this website. Some items are listed below.
- Blogs vs. magazines. Many of my blogs are
essentially no different from magazines. I use the blog format for
some of the magazines on this website.
- Blog items can be hastily written and not
carefully edited, and as such errors and inaccuracies can easily
occur.
- Blog entries can be short spontaneous pieces of
writing and they can be carefully edited and large pieces of work. The
distinction is not always made and is not always clear.
-
Blog entries can also be significant pieces of writing that are
carefully edited.
A range in the quality of material can occur.
- Blog entries can be edited after they are first
posted. This is often to fix errors, typos, and grammar, although any
kind of addition or alteration can be possible. The date specified may
or may not reflect the date of this update. This depends on the
discretion of the editor.
- Other general or specific qualifications may
implicitly occur even though they are not stated.
The notes on this page apply to blogs in general on this
website.
Individual blogs may have additional stipulations.
