Walk down State Street in early April

This series of photos was shot around April 1, 2010 and covers the area up and down State Street.

It was an unusually warm day and the temperature was around 80 degrees. Below people are seen in their t-shirts and yet the trees are barren.

I love trying to capture a flavor of the lifestyle along those charming little street side coffee house cafes. This is a great please to sip coffee, people watch, be on your cell, work on your laptop, read a book, study for class, etc.

These three musicians were playing an incredible sound. The center fellow plays a “bowl” and rubbing it in a circle makes it ring. The long instrument at the right (I don’t know what it’s called) is interesting sounding. The three playing together sounds really interesting. This is not conventional music that you might find on top 40.

This meatball dish makes my mouth water.

He was playing the drum … “Money, money, money”. I gave him a tip of a buck.

Working on a laptop with a book.

Here is an across the street shot of a cafe.

Biting into that nice fat burger.

This lady was playing the 8 string mandolin (not sure about the instrument). This is a beautiful double stringed instrument and the music is fantastic.

Clothes are always being sold right on the street. I caught this one here – topless.
