Chili with papperjack cheese

I am a chili guy and enjoy making chilies, and also enjoy eating them. The chili below is another of the nearly endless variety of things that you can do with this relatively simple hamburger dish. It’s almost not a chili though. It is more like a fried hamburger dish with melted pepper jack cheese, chopped tomatoes, chopped onions, and cream of mushroom soup, and some other things. I also mixed in some chopped greens since it is good for the eyes. This time, I also put in some chopped tomatoes (real tomatoes) instead of canned stuff. It’s more expensive, but the end result is a little better. The results with pictures and some discussion are given below.

Fresh tomatoes are a rare treat.

Pepper jack cheese was on sale also. This adds a nice spice to the dish.

Here are the sliced tomatoes with the sliced pepper jack cheese.

Hamburger was on sale. (So was the cheese.)

The veggies are coming along nicely. I always try to glaze the onions.

The cheese melts in nicely with the fried hamburger.

It’s a colorful meal. It is really not a chili but tastes great.

Here it is in a bowl. It’s real cheesy, and it really tasted nice! The cream of mushroom soup along with the spicy pepper jack cheese gives this a very different and yet a very tasty zing. This is definitely a “cool” combination.

Here it is with everything mixed in including the cheese and cream of mushroom soup.
