Well I just blogged a chili yesterday and here is another one today. I am quite a bit behind in my blogging and I am still publishing work from months to half a year ago (and more). I am probably never going to get caught up, and maybe don’t even want to.
This chili is fairly standard (at least for me) and uses beans, chopped onions, and slices of American cheese.
The onion itself is an amazingly important ingredient. This is present in nearly every one of my chilies.
This meal was from a while back and I don’t think the soup at right was part of the dish.
I fry in olive oil always and I like to fry hard until the onions glaze just right.
Mix in the beans and tomato sauce.
Then come the several slices of cheese. This melts nicely into the dish.
The final meal looks nice and tastes great. If not for the cheese it would be fairly healthy. Unfortunately the cheese does add a fair amount of cholesterol.
