It is homecoming day. A football Saturday. It is festive. Everyone is dressed in red. It is also a warm day when you don’t need a coat.
The day was last Saturday Oct. 25. UW homecoming.

Football Saturdays on State Street are an event to see. When there is a home game, “everyone” dresses in the “go Badgers” traditional red, and the streams of red on State Street are a nice sight to see. It can be a bit party like, and also a bit fun and festive. Happily, the Badgers won 28 – 38. Some pictures try to tell some of the story.
Maxwell Street Days was probably at its peak on Saturday July 19. Saturday is the day when most people probably had the time to visit the farmer’s market and then attend the event. I was somewhat surprised by the nice crowd.
Madison has been holding it’s Maxwell Street Days celebration this weekend, and today is the last day.
The clouds and skies this May have been absolutely beautiful. Here are a few photos.
There are several new restaurants going up on State St. The Wendy’s below is brand new, as of about a month ago. Personally, Wendy’s has always been a hit with me.
This new one is a candy store ?? I’m not sure, but I like the photo.
Well, it is March 1st and we were greeted with temperatures in the teens and another of the many snowfalls. I am becoming frustrated with the very cold winter we have had, as are many Americans.
The picture below shows a picture of the snow today on State Street.
