Changes on and near State in late winter 2016

State Street and nearby is undergoing some new construction and renovation but it also much remains the same. I discuss some (but not all) of the changes and give pictures.

The monster Hub complex is new to lower State Street, and it’s “sister” companion is also being erected nearby. The photo below shows the Hub in the background along with construction for the new Hub2 in the foreground.

The Hub is a huge complex as you can see and it stretches from the Brathouse, and down along a full block to the Rainbow Bookstore.

The Hub is starting to populate with stores on the lower level and I show a few below.

I met the guy who manages the Mooyah store below and he was incredibly nice and invited me personally to come in.

If you find that you suffer sleepless nights because you don’t know where you can find good falafel, then fret no longer. Now you can rest easier.

The store below is coming soon. There are other stores that I have not mentioned.

I have left out some stores not by deliberate omission but because I do not have a photograph. For example, other stores not shown are a new coffee house, Collectivo. And there are others.

For the most part State Street is largely unchanged, and you can view it through nice spectacles.

It’s a fun place to both party and celebrate being in a different country (Bucky Country). The beer trucks are trying to keep the local bars stocked.

There are many nice stores on State St., and I only showed a few above. The focus above was on lower State St.

Some opinions are expressed. They may or may not be mine or those of others.
