Some quick links

  • My main blog contains some timely information, but recent updates and other timely information can also occur here and in my other blogs and writings.

This page represents the top of my web site, and contains links to pretty much everything I have done since being on the web since 1998. I am certainly not an expert at many things, but I have many interests and pursuits. I hope you can find something here that is interesting.

Fine Arts

I am quite passionate about photography, music, web pages, and the fine arts in general. A few links are given below.

Photography. See my main photography pages. Also, many of my more recent photos are also found on my main blog.

General fine arts. A collection of fine arts links is given here. This lists some of my favorites for music, videos, photograhy, and other things of interest. This is an old collection but I still work on it. Also see my fine arts blog which includes some items on cooking.

Sketches. My blog contains many art sketches.

Technical

Math. This is very unpopular to some. People in Rumania, however, are interested in the operational algebra material. People actually search for this stuff. More material is available upon request.

  • Multiplying like rabbits. Here is a fictional story, which first appeared around the time frame of 1998. We are reproducing it again in somewhat shortened form. The main body of the article though is essentially unchanged from what first appeared in 1998.

    • We are collecting some web references pertaining to the Fibonacci (and related) numbers.

    • This mathematical paper (pdf,ps) contains a proof of the remarkable golden ratio number property, (including a closed form derivation of the Fibonacci numbers), along with some beautiful generalizations, noted in the above pop article.

Cash flow analysis. This is a mathematically based software product that I worked on while at FEREGO and before. You can read about Cfa here. In particular, this presentation might be of interest to you; it explains some of the basic concepts. I am presenting this item now, as an item of historical interest.

  • This analysis is very technical and can fall within the realm of engineering. Engineering schools refer to this as engineering economic analysis, and engineering courses are taught on this subject. Discounted cash flow analysis tends to be less popular among MBA's. The technique is really "discounted".

  • A number of discounted cash flow studies were performed, some over ten years ago. These are now archive pages, so don't try to buy anything from those pages. In addition, those pages are really old and not kept up. (But they look great!) It's all history now. But you can read about some technical housing analysis. In particular, leveraging curves are very interesting with respect to housing analysis.

Business

See Cfa on this page.

Business. I am interested in and write on some technical aspects of business. See the business page for references to blogs and other writings.

Blogs

I am making plans for having blogs on several subjects on this site. The blog page contains some discussion of and links to blogs.

Magazines

This website contains at least four magazines.

The distinction between a blog and a magazine is not always clear, and these can overlap somewhat.

Archive highlights

Thanks to modern search engine technology for bringing to you some of these items.

This website contains some archives. A brief excerpt of some of the more interesting archives is given below.

The following item, a slide show, is cool. If you are using Internet Explorer you may have to enable the content which might be blocked. This stuff was on the internet around the year 2000 a.d. time frame.
