This page is a main page pertaining to internet references for science.

It can be noted that the presentation is very minimal and that much greater amounts of knowledge and much greater resources exist. I present what I can, but I cannot do it justice, even for the internet. But I can help get you started.

1. General Science Links

There are no general science links yet.

2. Space

Space related links

I was browsing and suddenly ran into some stunning NASA imagery, and so I collected a few links for you to peruse. There is quite a lot of interesting material to be found in the links referenced below.

Personally I have no interest in space travel, although I did watch the space shots when Cronkite hosted them when I was very young. Of course you may be very interested. There will be a lot of money in space travel, so you should get interested. Something like Star Trek is infinitely more interesting to me, with Mr. Spock and his interesting space physics calculations being the most interesting.

The Planetary Society is a space resource.

2.1. Images

View Saturn's rings in this photo. Many nice images are found at the NASA site and at their image archives. One such striking picture is this of the sun at solstice. There are many stunning images to be found at these links and the links referenced therein.

2.2. NASA and other national links

Other space related links are given in the list below:

  1. The NASA portal is a good place to start.
  2. http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/ - NASA / JPL.
  3. http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/ - Human space flight.
  4. http://www.ksc.nasa.gov/ - Kennedy Space Center.
  5. http://www.spacecenter.org/ - Houston space center. This is also a neat main web page.
  6. http://www.nasa.gov/gallery/index.html - Image gallery.
  7. http://science.ksc.nasa.gov/shuttle/missions/missions.html - The Shuttle missions are cataloged here. You can read up on many technical details involved with the space missions.
  8. http://www.gsfc.nasa.gov/ - Goddard space flight center.
  9. http://www.msfc.nasa.gov/ - Marshall Space Flight Center.
  10. http://www.sti.nasa.gov/ - NASA science and technical information. This is an excellent science and technical resource. Many high quality pdf technical reports can be found here.

2.3. Space Business

There appears to be some overlap between this section and the previous one above.

3. Physics

The most famous equation of Einstein was recently covered on a PBS Nova special. (Also see this note on "the equation".)

Britney Spears as a physics expert.

The Weisstein series is excellent. It's a great reference for physics on line.

You can read up on recent advances in quantum relativistic gravitational cosmology at Hawking's site. I have been able to locate some of his publications here.

Some academic journal references can be found at this reference.

4. Biology
