A Droll Day

Some days you write a lot and some days you don't. Do you write more when it rains?

Droll Days of March

It is another dull and droll (and gray) day. The war is dragging on and it reminds me of the gray and sullen drudgery of the Vietnam War. But now things are different. There is more fear.

The economy sucks, and the stock market and general mood of the country is not good. The stock market was up a raging amount today, and this seems to help those who are in the old “gambling spirit.” Maybe that will help pick up the national spirit.

Maybe the 200 point rise in the stock market today will signal another huge “boom” like we had during the 90's. Tomorrow I predict the stock market will be up a Gillian points.

April fool's was yesterday

Yesterday was April Fool's day. Did you find any major fools in the world? Are the fools in the world any more foolish on April 1? And what happened to March's fools, not to mention February's fools?

This "think geek" site (ThinkGeek Stuff for Smart Masses) has some of the funniest April fool's humor. In past years they offered a certified black box, certified by official Himalayan monks. It was available with and without a singularity. (The cost with singularity was $infinity, but the model without singularity was actually a better bargain.) Those certified black boxes are hard to beat – even without a singularity. I wish I had one. This year has a nice array of humorous April Fool's offerings, such as celebrity DNA, among other things. Check it out this year. It is always good for a few laughs. If we can get some more time, we might try to gather some of these old and very funny April Fool's links.
