You might wonder how you can split a 900 M file say. No you don't need 900 M of memory to split a 900 M file. The program uses much less memory than the size of the file.
The FEREGO file split tool generates the split files. They can be copied to floppy disks. The FEREGO file split tool also generates a script file - it's just a simple program to run - that can combine the pieces back into one file.
It runs in a DOS (cmd) window, and so it can be put into scripts, run from other programs, etc. Of course it can be run interactively by regular typing into a window also.
When you buy this software, you are buying a license for yourself to use this on ALL of your computers. So you can use it at work and also on your computer at home. Server licenses are also available.
The split files can be emailed. This is useful because most email systems have limits on how large a file you can send. Now with the FEREGO file split tool, you can send the individual pieces. This is also useful for slow phone connections, where uploading and downloading can be done in pieces.
