Doty Street block party - 2007

The party is sponsored by radio station WORT.

The band called Bobby Bryan & The Original Downtown Players played at 1:45 p.m. Their sound was mostly that of Chicago Blues with heavy bass and a hard driving beat, and included other music in the style of Chubby Checker and B. B. King. If you like blues, this band is for you.

In the Hendrix style, the lead player picks his guitar with his teeth.

The next band is The Motorz, a rock band. They played at 3 p.m.

The rockabilly band Scag 48 played at 4:15.

Three members of the Tony Casteneda Latin Jazz Sextet pour on the heavy brass for the Latin sound.

Quick hands on the bongo drum ...

Some very high quality beer from local micro-breweries was available.

And others came more prepared.

It was not a large crowd but the party was still well attended. Everyone was friendly.

The bands represented very high quality entertainment. This is a great party to attend!
